CSP 148: Spoil Matthew — Sneakers (1992)

After the pain and suffering of the Torture Us series, we decided we needed some positivity—so we come to you now with the Spoil Us series, a trilogy of episode where we’ve each brought one of our favorite films for discussion!

Part two of our trilogy belongs to Matthew, who—after rejecting more somber fare like Heat, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and Koyaanisqatsi—settled on the 1992 heist-caper-action-comedy Sneakers, from Field of Dreams director Phil Alden Robinson and starring Robert Redford, Mary McDonnell, Sidney Poitier, Dan Aykroyd, River Phoenix, David Strathairn, Ben Kingsley, and, believe it or not, more. Matthew explains why it’s a feel-good favorite, and Alli and Zoë both experience it for the first time! Both the film and the episode are not to be missed, so listen now!
