CSP 147: Spoil Zoë – The Mummy (1999)

After the pain and suffering of the Torture Us series, we decided we needed some positivity—so we come to you now with the Spoil Us series, a trilogy of episode where we’ve each brought one of our favorite films for discussion!

Up first is Zoë, with what is—if recent reaction to the new Tom Cruise film is any indication—a beloved childhood favorite for many of you: Stephen Sommers’s 1999 action-adventure film The Mummy. How does this film stand up after all these years? What does late-90s CGI look like compared with the effects of today? And what ever became of Brendan Fraser? All these answers and more in this week’s episode!
